The Birmingham Zoo to Host 2nd Annual Zoo, Brews and Full Moon BBQ Event

The Birmingham Zoo invites the community to the second annual Zoo, Brews and Full Moon Bar-B-Que event at the Zoo on Saturday, June 18 from 5:30-9pm. This family-friendly event allows attendees to enjoy a delicious dinner from Alabama’s ‘Best Little Pork House’ Full Moon Bar-B-Que, Golden Flake chips, enjoy live music by Park Band, see Talladega Superspeedway’s pace car and street team, explore the Dino Discovery exhibit, participate in animal greetings and walkabouts, rides and much more, all included in the event ticket. 

 

New for this year, craft beer fans will love the selection of tastings from some of the finest specialty brews around. Enjoy samplings from over 10 breweries from all over Alabama and the southeast. In addition to beer, there will be plenty of other libations, including wines and non-alcoholic beverages and more. 

“The Birmingham Zoo serves as an anchor for our community and we are proud to be a partner during its continued growth,” states Joe Maluff, Co-Owner of Full Moon BBQ. “Our partnership with last year’s Zoo Brews event was such a success we were thrilled to join together again.”

General Admission tickets are available for purchase for $25 for attendees age 21 & up and include entrance into the Zoo, meal ticket, 8 beer sampling tokens*, Dino Discovery and rides. Tickets for guests under 21 years of age are available for $15 and include entrance to the event, meal ticket, Dino Discovery and rides. A limited number of special VIP Tickets are available for early event admission, premium parking and extra drink tokens. Approximately 950 animals of 230 species call the Birmingham Zoo home, including sea lions, zebras, rhinos and endangered species from six continents. The Birmingham Zoo is open daily from 9am to 5pm.  Regular admission is $16* for adults and $14* for senior citizens and military and $11* for children ages 2-12 (*Price not including tax). All Birmingham Zoo Members and children under two-years-old receive free admission.
