  • A considerable amount of salt and pepper should be applied to both sides of the pork chops’ surface.
  • The olive oil should be heated over medium-high heat in a big skillet or frying pan. When the skillet is heated, place the pork chops in it and sear them for approximately three to four minutes on each side, or until they have attained a lovely brown color. Once the pork chops have been removed from the skillet, place them on a platter and put them aside.

  • To the same skillet, add the mushrooms and onions that have been cut. Take around eight to ten minutes to cook, stirring the mixture occasionally, until the onions have been caramelized and the mushrooms have turned a golden brown color.
  • After adding the garlic that has been minced, continue to sauté it for an additional one to two minutes until it becomes aromatic.

  • The onion and mushroom mixture that is now in the skillet should be sprinkled with flour. Coat the vegetables uniformly with the flour by stirring them thoroughly, and then heat them for one to two minutes to eliminate the taste of the raw flour.
  • It is important to avoid the formation of lumps by gradually adding the chicken or beef broth while swirling the mixture continuously. The mixture should be brought to a simmer.

  • The Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, and dry rosemary should be stirred in at this point. Depending on your preference, season with additional salt and pepper.
  • Put the pork chops that have been seared back into the skillet and place them in the gravy that is made with the onion and mushrooms. A portion of the gravy should be spooned over the pork chops.

  • You should put a lid on the skillet and turn the heat down to a low setting. It is recommended that the pork chops be allowed to stew in the gravy for twenty to twenty-five minutes, or until they are fully cooked and tender.
  • When the pork chops have reached the desired level of doneness, take them out of the skillet and arrange them on a dish for serving.
  • The pork chops should be topped with the onion and mushroom sauce, and if preferred, chopped fresh parsley should be used as a garnish. The dish should be served hot.
