Best Air Fryer Chicken Tenders Recipe

These tasty air-fried chicken tenders are crispy outside and juicy within! Make these for dinner or freeze them for convenient meals later. The whole family will enjoy these!

INGREDIENTS

– 2 pounds boneless/skinless chicken tender – 2 cups buttermilk – 2 tablespoons hot sauce or buffalo sauce – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons seasoned salt – 2 cups Kellogg’s Corn Flakes Crumb – 2 eggs whisked with a splash of water – Fine sea salt & black pepper

Step 1

Mix buttermilk and spicy sauce in a covered bowl. Toss the chicken tenders in the container. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours, preferably overnight.

Step 2

Drain the marinated chicken in a colander before assembling the chicken tenders. Take three large, shallow dishes or pie plates.

Step 3

 Mix flour, seasoned salt, a pinch of sea salt, and black pepper in one. Eggs whisked with water go in the second. Add corn flake crumbs to the third.

Step 4

Flour each chicken tender and coat well. Coat well with egg wash. Finally, lightly press corn flake crumbs onto the chicken with your hands. Place breaded tenders on a baking sheet.

Step 5

Pre-heat an air fryer to 400°F for 10-15 minutes while coating the chicken. After preheating the air fryer, carefully insert the breaded chicken tenders in a uniform layer in the basket in batches. Flip midway during an 8-minute air fry at 400°F.

Step 6

To freeze:- Place uncooked breaded chicken tenders on a parchment-lined sheet tray. Put the tray in the freezer for 2 hours to freeze the strips. Fill a zip-top freezer bag with frozen strips and freeze for 3 months.

Step 7

Heat an air fryer to 400°F for 10-15 minutes. Place frozen chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in an equal layer after preheating. Flip halfway through 8-10 minutes of air-frying at 400°F.
