Breakfast Fruit Crisp Recipe

Breakfast fruit crisp has luscious baked fruit and a nutty, crumbly oat topping for a healthy start. Dessert for breakfast? The heck yes!


– 6 Tbsp all purpose flour – 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened – 2 Tbsp brown sugar – 1/8 tsp cinnamon – pinch salt – 1/4 cup rolled oats – 1/4 cup sliced almonds – 6-7 medium apricots, pitted and sliced (or other fruit of your choice) – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 tsp cornstarch

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix the flour, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt with your hands until crumbly and sandy. 

Step 1 


Stir in oats and almond slices. Set aside. Put the sliced fruit, vanilla extract, and cornstarch in a 9-inch pie pan. 

Step 2

Top with the crisp mixture and bake for 35–45 minutes until the fruit is bubbling and the top is light brown. 

Step 3

Put it on the table warm and top it with yogurt, whipped cream, or maple syrup.
