Classic Bacon And Cheddar Quiche Recipe

Quiche is a traditional meal whose buttery crust, creamy custard, and endless filling combinations bring warmth and style to any dinner.


For the crust: – 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed – 3-4 tablespoons ice water For the filling: – 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled – 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese – 4 large egg – 1 cup heavy cream – 1/2 cup milk – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Step 1

Prepare the Crust:- Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Add cold diced butter to flour. Mix butter into flour with a pastry cutter or your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 2

Mix in the ice water one spoonful at a time until the dough comes together. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes after shaping it into a disk.

Step 3

Preheat oven:- Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 4

Roll crust:- Roll the cold dough into a floured 9-inch pie plate circle. Push the dough into the pie plate's bottom and sides. Remove excess dough and crimp. Fork-prick crust bottom to prevent bubbling.

Step 5

Prepare Filling:- Spread cooked and crumbled bacon on the crust bottom. Scatter shredded cheddar cheese on bacon.

Step 6

Make Custard:- Whisk eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a separate bowl until well blended.

Step 7

Put together, bake:- Carefully pour custard over bacon and cheese in pie shell.Bake the quiche for 35–40 minutes in the preheated oven until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.

Step 8

Serve and Enjoy:- Serve Bacon and Cheddar Quiche warm or room temperature with fresh herbs. For brunch, lunch, or dinner, serve this classic with a crisp salad or roasted veggies.
