Cyberpunk 2077 Update Just Made An Infamous Boss Fight Even Harder

One of Cyberpunk 2077's deadliest bosses' destructive strikes hit more often in the newest version. One of Cyberpunk 2077's most notorious characters grew harder.

The most terrifying Night City criminal lord and mob boss is Matilda K. Rose alias Sasquatch. Unfortunately, most mercs struggle with her battle on their first try, and it's harder now.

CD Projekt Red's latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 has fixed a critical flaw that provided players an edge in the Sasquatch boss fight, according to the game's website.

Despite evidence that it should have landed, the Animals leader's jumping strike often missed and dealt no damage in previous games. Previously a bug, Matilda's powerful move now guarantees to land if a player is trapped in its hitbox.

Even mighty Matilda struggled to fix Sasquatch's leaping strike. The boss charges players with her hammer after throwing up thin walls, swinging it around to knock V off balance and capitalize with a second hit.

Target Matilda's small glowing device on her back, a main power source but fragile when hit with dozens of bullets, to win.Besides fixing the Sasquatch combat, Cyberpunk 2077's update fixes quest lines and goals.

Another important update was made to the quest "Nocturne Op55N1," fixing a glitch that prevented player progression if they choose a certain mission ending.

The "Riders on the Storm" mission now sees enemies shoot at and damage Panam's van throughout the pursuit scenario, making it harder and more exciting.

After its disastrous 2020 launch, Cyberpunk 2077 received Patch 2.12 and further improvements. Since then, CD Projekt Red has worked hard to fix its biggest faults, including a large "2.0 Update" that brought player involvement to systems.

In 2023, the developer released Phantom Liberty, a significant story addition that fans and critics praised.
