Dallas Mavericks Could Miss Luka Doncic vs. Detroit Pistons

There is some uncertainty regarding Luka Doncic's availability for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons.

In preparation for their game against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, the Dallas Mavericks have decided to reduce the amount of time that their superstar guard, Luka Doncic, intends to be on the court.

According to the injury report that was submitted by the Mavericks, Doncic is now suffering with an elbow sprain.

Because of this, it is uncertain whether or not he will be able to play against Detroit on Saturday night.

Recently, Doncic has been healthy and ready to play for the Mavs. His last departure was on January 31, and it was only for one game. On February 2, the Mavericks would play the Milwaukee Bucks again.

Since the Mavericks returned from the All-Star break on February 22, Doncic has been capable of participating in each of the eight games that have been played.

The All-Star has played 38 minutes per game on average and has scored 37 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and given 11 assists while making 52% of his shots.

Even though Doncic is available, Dallas has had a difficult time getting back into the game after the break.

The Dallas Mavericks are continuing to struggle to avoid the Play-In Tournament in the Western Conference, as they have only won three of their previous eight games during this stretch.

Dallas will be the favourite going into Saturday's game, with or without Doncic. However, Detroit has been tough against their opponents lately, winning two of their last five games.

During the course of his career, Doncic competed against the Pistons seven times. He averaged 36 points, ten assists, and eight rebounds in those contests.

He also added eight rebounds. In the most recent game that Doncic played against the Pistons, which took place in January of last year, he dominated the game by scoring 53 points in just 36 minutes play.
