This homemade brownie brittle is perfect for chocolate lovers with a crispy brownie foundation and small chocolate chips in every bite!
INGREDIENTS
– 3 ounces (85g) bittersweet chocolate– 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter– 3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour– 1/4 cup (21g) unsweetened cocoa powder– 1/4 teaspoon baking soda– 1/4 teaspoon salt– 2 large egg white– 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract– 1/4 to 1/3 cup mini chocolate chip
Warm the oven up to 325°F. Put parchment paper inside a 10" x 15" jelly roll pan and grease the paper a little.
Step 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Put the butter and chocolate in a bowl that can go in the microwave. Stir the butter and chocolate for 30 seconds at half-power until they melt. Once it's smooth, set it aside to cool down a bit.
Step 2
The cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and flour should all be mixed together with a whisk. Put away.
Step 3
In a big bowl, mix the egg whites just until they start to foam. Mix in the vanilla and sugar until everything is well mixed.
Step 4
Add the cooled chocolate mixture next and mix it in. And finally, add the flour blend and stir it in.
Step 5
Spread the cookie batter out evenly in the pan that has been prepared. Add the chocolate chips on top.
Step 6
Put the brownies in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are hard. Put a wire rack inside the pan and let it cool down.
Step 7
Next, take the brownies out of the pan and put them on a cutting board. Now you can break them up or cut them into pieces.
