Delicious Wonton Soup Recipe

This warm and cozy Wonton Soup Recipe is easy to make at home. This soup will be repeated due to its handmade wontons and tasty stock.  

Ingredient

For the wonton – 1/2 pound ground pork – 2 scallions thinly sliced – 2 cloves garlic minced – 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger – 2 teaspoons soy sauce – 1 & 1/2 teaspoons rice vinegar – 1 teaspoon cornstarch – 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil – 1/4 teaspoon white pepper or black pepper – 12 ounce package wonton wrappers For the soup – 10 cups unsalted chicken stock – 1 inch piece fresh ginger thinly sliced – 6 whole cloves garlic peeled – 4 scallions – 2 tablespoons soy sauce – 2 teaspoons kosher salt – pinch white pepper – thinly sliced scallions to serve

Introduction 

In a medium bowl, combine pork, scallion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, cornstarch, sesame oil, and white pepper. Clean a work surface and place a wonton wrapper. 

Step 1

Fill the center with 1 spoonful of filling. Run a wet fingertip along the wrapper's edges. Fold a pointed end over filling and seal edges. Expel air.  

Step 2

Now you have a triangle. Indent the wrapping bottom. Apply water to the triangle's bottom points. Hold the points together by squeezing the edges together with your fingertips.

place on a sheet tray covered with a clean kitchen towel while preparing wontons. Add chicken stock, ginger, garlic, scallions, soy sauce, salt,

and pepper to a large saucepan over medium heat. First boil, then cover, lower, and simmer for 10 minutes. Keep heated and discard soup solids. Boil a large kettle of water. 

Step 6

Put as many wontons as you'll eat in boiling water. Boil 4 minutes. They will float.  

Step 7

Remove the cooked wontons from the water using a slotted spoon and arrange them in a serving bowl. More scallions and soup on top. Serve now.
