Detroit Pistons Make New Roster Addition Official

_______________________

A temporary big man has been added to the roster of the Detroit Pistons.Over the course of the next ten days, the Detroit Pistons will have the opportunity to utilise the talents of Taj Gibson, an experienced centre.

A team press statement says Gibson has signed a 10-day contract with the organisation. This gives him the chance to join his sixth NBA team since being picked in the first round of the 2009 draft.

Gibson will play for the Pistons for the second time this year. Gibson got a one-year deal with the New York Knicks in December to play for them again. After about a month, he was released.

Gibson returned to the Knicks on a 10-day deal and received another when it expired. Gibson went into free agency and waited for a call from the Pistons.

This season, Gibson was a member of the Knicks and participated in 16 games. The average amount of time he spent on the court was ten minutes, during which he registered one point and two rebounds.

Gibson is going to be a member of the Pistons for the forthcoming five games. A home game against the Brooklyn Nets is scheduled to take place on Thursday night, marking the beginning of their first exhibition match.

Despite the fact that Gibson is anticipated to play for the Pistons now that the contract has been finalised, it is not apparent what role he will play given the fact that the conditions are now unknown.

Gibson is an NBA veteran with lots of experience, despite his Pistons inexperience. Gibson played 961 NBA games, averaging 23 minutes per game, starting in 2009.

Gibson has made 71 appearances in the postseason, which is still a wonderful addition to his resume, despite the fact that the Pistons are not very interested in gaining playoff experience this season.

The Pistons will join the Bulls, Thunder, Timberwolves, Wizards, and Knicks in having Gibson play if he debuts on Thursday against Brooklyn.

A further opportunity presents itself for the 38-year-old to demonstrate how much more he still has in the tank.
