– 2 ounces (56g) dark chocolate (about 70% cacao), roughly chopped – 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter – 2 tablespoons (15g) all-purpose flour – 1-2 pinches of salt – 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar – 1 large egg – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/4 cup (42g) semisweet chocolate chip

Step 1

Put chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at half-power for 30 seconds until butter and chocolate melt when swirled. Stir smooth.

Allow 10 minutes to cool. Preheat oven to 350°F. Add flour and salt to chocolate and stir well.

Step 3

In another bowl, mix sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir into chocolate mixture until blended. Mix in chocolate chips.

Step 4

Evenly distribute batter between two 5-inch skillets. Put on a prepared baking sheet to catch spillage.

Step 5

Bake 20–25 minutes until a pick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Do not overbake. Serve warm with ice cream or toppings.
