Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Mug Cake Recipe

Single-serve dessert made in under five minutes! Mix it with your favourite ingredients to satisfy your sweet desire next time.  

– 3 Tbsp (24g) all-purpose flour packed and leveled* – ¼ tsp baking powder – 1 Tbsp (15ml) pure maple syrup** – 2 Tbsp (30ml) creamy peanut butter – 4 Tbsp (60ml) milk of choice*** – 1 tsp avocado oil optional – Pinch sea salt Optional Additions: – 1 to 2 Tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chip – ¼ tsp pure vanilla extract – ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

Put all the ingredients into a mug that can go in the microwave, a small bowl, or a measuring cup.

Then, mix them together until you have a smooth cake batter and all the flour lumps are gone.

You shouldn't separate the dry and wet ingredients because they should combine well. Additional chocolate chips can be added to the cake batter.

Put the cake in the microwave and heat it on high for 60 to 75 seconds, or until the middle is set. Starting with 60 seconds is a good idea.

If the cake needs more, add 8–15 seconds.Taste and enjoy! For a surprise, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and milk to the mug cake.
