Luka Doncic Makes NBA Triple-Double History in Mavs' Clutch Win Over Heat

_______________________

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat on Thursday night, which was very important for them. Luka Doncic also made NBA history by getting his second straight triple-double.

The Miami Heat were very hot, and the Dallas Mavericks had lost five of their last six games. Wednesday night was a big game for them.

The Mavs beat the Heat 114–108 at American Airlines Centre to end their three-game losing streak. Luka Doncic had a huge triple-double that helped them win.

Doncic scored 35 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and gave out 11 assists. He shot 12–24 from the field, 7–13 from three-point range, and 4–4 from the free throw line, while also being a plus-11 in 40 minutes.

Doncic was the best player on the night, but five other Mavs scored 10 or more points to help him out a lot. Kyrie Irving, a co-star, chipped in with 23 points, four boards, and four assists.

With his most recent triple-double, Doncic created some history in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as he tied Russell Westbrook for the longest 30-point triple-double streak in the history of the league with five consecutive triple-doubles.

Additionally, he became the only player in the history of the league to ever record four straight triple-doubles with a total of 35 points.

Doncic's ease of achieving individual honours can make it tempting to take it for granted. The five-time All-Star makes NBA history almost every night he plays, and given he's only 25, there will be many more.

"We can't forget about this young man," Mavs coach Jason Kidd said. "When he comes every night and does something, you're seeing something as rare as a Picasso."

Dallas was called a "dark horse" title candidate two weeks ago after winning seven straight games. Doncic wants an NBA title more than any other award, even though the individual awards are nice.

It might be more possible for the Mavs to reach their goal in early April if they keep playing well like they did against the Heat.
