Maple Ginger Cookies Recipe

These cookies are soft and chewy, and they have a lovely flavour! Maple Ginger Cookies!  


– 2 & 1/4 cups (270g) all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1 teaspoon ground ginger – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled – 1 cup (200g) firmly packed light brown sugar – 1 large egg – 1/4 cup (59ml) maple syrup – turbinado sugar, for garnish (optional)

Mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.  

Step 1 


Mix the chilled butter and brown sugar with a medium-speed electric mixer. Mix in the egg and maple syrup.  

Step 2

Lower mixer speed. Add flour mixture slowly, mixing just until incorporated. Cover and chill dough for 1 hour.

Step 3

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cover baking sheets with parchment or silicone.  

Step 4

Roll tablespoonfuls of dough into balls. Place cookies 2 inches apart on prepared pans. Lightly flatten cookie tops. Add turbinado sugar if desired.  

Step 5

Bake till golden brown, 12–15 minutes. Cool pans on wire racks for 5 minutes. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
