NBA Power Rankings: Spurs Rising After Win Streak?

A pair of consecutive victories have been achieved by the San Antonio Spurs. With that information, where do they stand in the power rankings for this week?

After suffering eight of nine defeats while on their Rodeo Road Trip, the San Antonio Spurs are currently riding a two-game win run now that they have returned home.

According to the most recent power rankings published by CBS Sports, the Spurs moved up three spots as a result of their two victories. The team is currently ranked No. 25 after having previously been ranked No. 28.

"Victor Wembanyama secured the Rookie of the Year Trophy this week by delivering a remarkable fourth-quarter performance in Thursday's unexpected victory against the Thunder.

His impressive display included pull-up 3s, wild assists, and an impressive block against Chet Holmgren, which went unnoticed worldwide," CBS Sports reports.

Having Wembanyama as a teammate makes it challenging to distinguish oneself, but Devin Vassell demonstrated exceptional performance by averaging 22 points, seven assists, and six rebounds during the Spurs' 2-1 week."

Wembanyama and Vassell were very important to the team's wins this weekend in San Antonio. The Spurs will need to keep playing at the same high level if they want to keep winning.

This week, the Spurs have to go on the road again for three games. The first game is tonight against the Houston Rockets.

After that, the team goes to northern California to play Domantas Sabonis and the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. On Saturday, they play Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
