Following the conclusion of the game, Thompson was questioned about this particular move. As he went through the scenario in his brain, he expressed his approval of the pairing and indicated that he loved it.

Since Thompson was aware that he had a speed advantage, he was able to establish the separation that he need in order to open a route to the basket.

"I came across a matchup that I found appealing. I was given a runway by him. At the conclusion of the game, Thompson stated, "I knew I just had to sell going one way because he was slower than me.

"I was present for the entire event before it took place. It is highly unlikely that anyone will be able to jump with me and block it once I have him on my hip.

A number of people, including other players in the league, were taken aback by this incredible performance.

Later that evening, LeBron James, a star player for the Los Angeles Lakers, praised Thompson for his outstanding show of athleticism and gave him a shoutout.
