Thunder Gameday: OKC Looking to Get Back in Win Column Against Trail Blazers

_______________________

The Oklahoma City Thunder, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, will attempt to get back on track tonight in Portland after suffering a loss on the championship stage on Monday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will now continue their west coach trip against Portland tonight. This comes after the Thunder suffered a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, which was one of the worst performances of the season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder got out to a blazing start after the All-Star break, but they have now lost two games in their last three attempts.

The team is going to have to come away with winnable games like the one that took place on Wednesday in order to make a push for the top spot in the Western Conference.

As of the beginning of the day, the Thunder are a 13.5-point underdog versus the Lakers, and the total number of points that are over or under is 223.5.

Oklahoma City struggled against LA. After a strong start, the Lakers set the tone on defense, and the Thunder's poor shooting led to tragedy.

Even though the Trail Blazers aren't as good as the Lakers, Oklahoma City will still need to set the tone early with quick defensive movements and a well-coordinated attack in the paint.

Even though they lost, the Thunder were able to force a lot of mistakes on Monday. They will need to do the same tonight against the Trail Blazers, who are a young team that often gives the ball away.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren all had one of their worst games together against the Lakers. They'll all be looking to get back on track against Portland. Besides that, the bench will have to make up the difference.

Gordon Hayward, a new player for the OKC, has played a lot of minutes so far but hasn't done much with them. He could do a lot of good if he does well.
