Thunder Gameday: Oklahoma City Looking To Keep Top Spot in West vs Lakers

The Thunder are currently in first place in the Western Conference. They will try to get ahead of the Lakers by beating them in the second game of a back-to-back.

The Thunder will play the Lakers in Los Angeles to continue their west coast road trip. OKC returns to action less than 24 hours after defeating the Phoenix Suns to top the Western Conference.

In the matchup between the Thunder and the Lakers, the Thunder are the underdogs by one point, and the total number of points as an over/under is 237.5.

Second night of a back-to-back, Oklahoma City Thunder must start fast. Travelling for this difficult task will cause fatigue, so the Thunder cannot expect a double-digit rally like they did against the Suns.

Not only does OKC have the most comebacks of ten points or more in the NBA, but they also can't let LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the players get tired.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP campaign is crucial tonight. In a huge game against the sport's largest brand on national television, increasing the team's first-place margin despite travel issues would impress voters.

The fact that Oklahoma City forced the Suns to turn the ball over 21 times on Sunday shows how good they can be on defence.

To beat the Purple and Gold, they will need to get easy points on the road. Their young, flexible team can switch everything and has the fastest hands in the West.
