Zebra Cake Easiest Recipe Ever

This Zebra Cake Recipe is a fun, layered cake with cookies and cream frosting that can be presented at various events.  

Ingredient

For the cake: – 1 box white cake mix – 1 cup whole milk – ½ cup vegetable oil – 4 large egg white – ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder For the frosting: – 16 Oreo – 1 cup unsalted butter softened – 8 ounces cream cheese softened – 8 cups sifted powdered sugar – 6 tablespoons heavy cream – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – Mini Oreos for garnish optional

Introduction 

Heat the oven to 350°F. 2-sprayed 9-inch cake pans. Put a parchment circle on the bottom and additional cooking spray on top. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, milk, oil,

and egg whites for 30 seconds with an electric hand mixer. Two minutes of medium-speed mixing. Pour half the cake batter into a medium bowl.  

Step 2

Mix cocoa powder into the remaining cake batter slightly. Place ¼ cup of white cake batter in the centre of each pan. Place ¼ cup of chocolate batter in the centre of each white batter pan.  

Step 3

Repeat until all batters are used and each pan has equal cake batter. Tip the baking pan to fill the bottom if the batter won't spread; the zebra design will remain. 

Step 4

Bake 22–25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. The cakes should cool completely in the pans. 

Step 5

In a food processor, grind Oreos into crumbs for the icing while the cakes cool. Mix softened butter and cream cheese in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment. Slowly add powdered sugar, scraping sides. 

Step 6

Mix in vanilla and heavy cream. Mix on medium-high for 3 minutes until frothy. Add cookie crumbs. I hand-mix cookie crumbs with a spatula to distribute. 

Step 7

Dominant slices flatten cakes. Dish-mounted cake. Use 1 cup border frosting. Icing second cake top-down. Use thin icing to cover cake. Refrigerate 1-2 hours. Overfrosting. Oreo-frosting. Slice, serve.
