Anthony Edwards questionable, Monte Morris out Friday against Cavs

_______________________

Since joining the Wolves at the trade deadline, Morris has played 15.7 minutes per game and has registered an average of 5.3 points and 2.9 assists overall.

Without backup point guard Monte Morris, the Wolves will not be able to play Friday night in Cleveland. Also, Anthony Edwards is mentioned as questionable after his heroics against the Pacers.

Morris will miss Friday's nationally broadcast game against the Cavs in the second night of a back-to-back after a 113-111 win in Indiana Thursday night.

Ankle discomfort makes Edwards uncertain. Edwards turned his ankle 26 seconds into Thursday's game yet led the Wolves with 44 points in 38 minutes.

After that, he made the outrageous block that ended up winning the game, which caused his head and arm to slam into the backboard as he denied Aaron Nesmith on the court.

Morris has been playing for the Wolves since the trade deadline, and he has averaging 5.3 points and 2.9 assists per game while playing 15.7 minutes per session.

The Wolves and Cavaliers play at 6:30 p.m. In the Eastern Conference, the Cavs are second behind the Bucks, while Minnesota leads the Western Conference by a half-game.

A knee ailment has caused Donovan Mitchell, a top guard for the Cavaliers, to miss the team's last four games. As a result, the Cavaliers will be without Mitchell.
