Best Ritz Cookies Recipe

Ritz cookies combine sweet and salty ingredients in a delicious snack adored by many. These easy-to-make cookies using Ritz crackers, peanut butter, and chocolate are a success at parties or at home.


– 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers (about 36 crackers) – 1 cup creamy peanut butter – 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chip – Optional toppings: sea salt, sprinkles, crushed nut

Step 1

A parchment paper or silicone baking mat should be used to line a baking sheet. This prevents cookies from sticking and simplifies cleanup.

Step 2

Spread Peanut Butter: Spread peanut butter generously on one Ritz cracker. Add another Ritz cracker for a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining crackers to make 18 sandwiches.

Step 3

Melt Chocolate: Stir chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl every 30 seconds until smooth. You can also melt chocolate in a double boiler on the stove.

Step 4

Use a fork or dipping tool to carefully dip each Ritz sandwich into the melted chocolate, coating it entirely. After dripping extra chocolate, place the sandwich on the baking sheet.

Step 5

Before the chocolate sets, add sea salt, colorful sprinkles, or broken nuts on the chocolate-coated sandwiches.

Step 6

Set & Chill: Refrigerate the baking sheet for 30 minutes until the chocolate solidifies after coating and decorating all the sandwiches.

Step 7

Serve and Enjoy: Remove Ritz biscuits from the fridge and place them on a dish after the chocolate sets. Enjoy these cookies right away or refrigerate them for a week in an airtight container.
