Dark Cocoa Powder Brownies Recipe

– 1 cup (120g) all purpose flour – 3/4 cup (64g) unsweetened dark cocoa powder* – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled – 1 & 1/2 cups (300g) granulated sugar – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan. Mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium basin. Set aside.

Step 2

Combine melted butter and sugar in a large bowl. Spoon-mix until blended. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Step 3

Mix the batter briefly with three pieces of flour. Pour brownie batter into pan. Use a spatula to evenly distribute batter in the pan.

Step 4

Bake brownies for 25–30 minutes until a pick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cut brownies into bars after 15 minutes of cooling.
