Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake Recipe

Black Section Separator

Chocolate Chip Pound Cake is one of my favorite desserts. My favorite recipe, this buttery cake with semisweet chocolate chips, is smooth and moist!

– 4 cups all-purpose flour – 3 cups granulated sugar – 2 cups salted butter softened – 6 large eggs – ¾ cup buttermilk – 1 tablespoon vanilla extract – 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips – Powdered sugar for dusting optional

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. A bundt pan of standard size measuring 10 inches should be sprayed with baking spray. Make sure to use a pastry brush to evenly apply the spray to the pan,

Step 1

and then set it aside. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the ingredients for the cake: flour, sugar, butter, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla.

Step 2

Allow the ingredients to blend for approximately two minutes while beating on a low pace.

Step 3

Keep the mixer running at a medium speed for two more minutes until the mixture is completely smooth. Stir the chocolate chunks into the mixture until they are completely incorporated.

Step 4

After adding the batter to the bundt pan, make sure the top is even and smooth. When a toothpick is placed into the center of the cake, it should come out clean after being baked for 80–90 minutes.

Step 5

You have the option of tenting the pound cake with foil if you observe that it is browning too quickly. Allow the pound cake to cool for ten minutes in the pan,

Step 6

after which you should remove it from the pan and allow it to cool entirely on a wire rack. Using powdered sugar, if desired, dust the cake before placing it on the serving tray, then slice it and serve it.
