How To Blanch And Freeze French Beans Recipe

– 1.5 lb Green Bean – For Boiling – 4 Quarts Water  – 1 Tablespoon Salt – For Quick Cooling – 8 cups Water – 2 cups Ice Cube

Make Ice Water Bath Add 8-10 cups of water to a big dish with ice cubes.

Trim Beans Shop green beans in appropriate size (or leave whole) after washing in cold water and trimming ends.

Cook Green Beans  Put 1 quart (4 litres 16 cups) of water in a big pot.

Add 1 tablespoon salt and boil. Add green beans to boiling water. Set a 3-minute timer.

Quick Cooling After 3 minutes of boiling, colander the water immediately. Put heated green beans in freezing water.
