The Washington Wizards were in the lead at the beginning of the game, but the Orlando Magic were the superior team in the second half, which resulted in another victory for the Magic.

Theresa May - As a result of their victory over the Washington Wizards by a score of 119-109 on Wednesday night at Capital One Arena, the Orlando Magic are still in the winning column.

The Magic got off to a bad start and gave up a double-digit lead to the Wizards in the first quarter. But the Magic stayed close enough to hit and started chipping away.

On the other hand, the Magic came into the second half with a revival and took the lead at the end of the third quarter, despite the fact that they were losing by 12 points at the halfway break.

The Wizards were unable to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter as the Magic continued to generate a lot of heat, which ultimately led to a victory for Orlando that was in the double-digits.

Franz Wagner led the second half with 28 points. Paolo Banchero, his frontcourt teammate, scored 25 points also. Off the bench, Jordan Poole led the Wizards with 26 points.

After their fifth straight win, the Magic take sole ownership of fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Orlando's longest win streak since November and early December's nine.

This coming Friday, the Magic will make their return to the floor at Madison Square Garden, where they will play the New York Knicks. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
