Pecan Lovers’ Brownies Recipe

The Pecan Lovers' Brownies are very fudgy and sweet. If you like nutty brownies, you have to make this!

– 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter – 2 ounces (56g) unsweetened chocolate, roughly chopped – 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons (31g) unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted – 1 & 1/4 cups (250g) granulated sugar – 1/2 cup (100g) firmly packed brown sugar – 3 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup (25g) pecan meal or ground pecan – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1 & 1/2 cups (180g) chopped pecan – 3/4 cup (127g) dark chocolate chip – about 1/3 cup pecan halves and piece

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Parchment a 9-inch square baking pan. Grease the pan liner and exposed inside. Grease the pan without lining it.

Step 2

Put butter and unsweetened chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. In 30-second increments, microwave at half-power until butter and chocolate melt when mixed. Stir smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

Step 3

Mix the cocoa powder with the chocolate. Mix in sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.

Step 4

Combine flour, ground pecans, and salt. Mix briefly. Mix in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.

Step 5

Place batter in pan and spread evenly. Press pecan halves and bits lightly onto the batter. Bake 30–35 minutes until a pick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.

Step 6

Cool brownies entirely in the pan on a wire rack. Transfer the brownies to a cutting board and cut into squares using the parchment lining.
