Slow Cooker Deep-Dish Pizza Easiest Recipe Ever

The whole family will love this slow cooker dish. This Slow Cooker Deep-Dish Pizza Recipe is excellent for weeknights!  

Ingredient

For the sausage – 1/2 pound ground pork – 2 cloves garlic minced – 1 & 1/2 teaspoons fennel seeds crushed – 1/4 teaspoon dried basil – 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano – 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper For the sauce – 14 ounces crushed tomatoe – 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese – 1 & 1/2 teaspoons dried basil – 1 & 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano – 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder – 1/2 teaspoon onion powder For assembly – 1 pound pizza dough thawed – 8 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese – 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese plus more for serving – drizzle of olive oil – fresh chopped parsley for garnish, optional

Introduction 

First, make Italian sausage. In a medium bowl, mix ground pork, garlic, fennel, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.  

Step 1

Let a medium-to-large skillet heat over medium-high heat. Add the meat mixture, crumble it, and heat until no pink remains, stirring regularly. Let it drain on paper towels to absorb grease. 

Step 2

In a medium bowl, mix smashed tomatoes, parmesan, dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside. 

Step 3

Prepare a large parchment paper. Put thawed pizza dough in the middle. Stretch it into an oval or 8-quart slow cooker shape. 

Step 4

Use parchment paper to lift the dough into the slow cooker insert. It may need extra slow cooker adjustments to fit, do so now. 

Step 5

Press mozzarella slices into dough, leaving a ½-inch border. Put the cooked crumbled sausage on top, then the pizza sauce. Finish with 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan and a sprinkle of olive oil. 

Step 6

Set the crust above the fillings by carefully lifting its edges. Cover the slow cooker with a big paper towel and lid. Set on high 2-3 hours or low 4-5 hours.  

Step 7

Once finished, lift the pizza by the parchment and let it rest for 15 minutes. If preferred, slice and serve with extra parmesan and chopped parsley.
