Spurs' Jeremy Sochan Addresses Fight vs. Rockets' Amen Thompson: 'That's Really It!'

_______________________

Their rivalry is still going strong despite the fact that the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets are not eligible for the playoffs this season.

The first two meetings of the season were split between the two teams, but things got heated between them in the showdown that took place at the Toyota Center on Tuesday night. The Rockets emerged victorious with a score of 114-101.

Spurs guard Jeremy Sochan and Rockets rookie Amen Thompson began shoving in the second half after getting tangled under the other basket. Players and coaches intervened to calm things down.

Both of the players were given technical fouls, and Sochan was given a flagrant-1 after the review appeared to demonstrate that he had tripped Thompson.

Following the conclusion of the game, Sochan acknowledged that there is no personal animosity between the two of them and stated that Thompson is "a good guy."

In his words, "He is a good guy," Sochan remarked. It was nothing more than a matter of competition. As human beings, we do, and that is everything there is to it.

At the end of the game, Sochan ended with six assists, eight rebounds, and fifteen points. Although he only scored two points, Thompson was able to grab six rebounds and block two shots.

The Spurs were pushed around by their rivals from the same state on Tuesday, but they'll have a quick chance to get back at them when the Rockets come to South Texas on Tuesday, March 12.
