Video Released Shows Aftermath Of Haywood Highsmith Crash Last Month


Haywood Highsmith, a player with the Miami Heat, was overcome with emotion after being engaged in a collision that resulted in the victim having a limb that was partially severed.  

Haywood Highsmith, a forward for the Miami Heat, was engaged in an automobile accident in the previous month, and a video that was released by the Miami-Dade police department showed him in a very emotional state.   

As a result of the accident, Alekxei Pino, the victim, had a limb that was partially severed. According to the clip, Highsmith is seen making an attempt to explain what took place to the cops.   

One of the officers is informed by Highsmith that the signal lights were not on. "He got out of the car, but by the time he got out, it was already too late," the speaker said.  

Pino was providing assistance to the driver of a vehicle that was disabled at the time. Beginning in the month of February, the incident took place while Highsmith was driving home following a game that the Heat had played.   

Pino sued Highsmith for over $50,000. Highsmith has been a significant Heat player for two seasons. He started until Tuesday's Magic game, when Caleb Martin replaced him.  

Highsmith rose from two-way contract to rotation last season.He helped the squad go to the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets last year. Highsmith averages 5.8 points and 2.8 rebounds this year.
