With Toronto, Siakam participated in 39 games under the direction of the rookie head coach, and he finished the season with an average of 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game scored. In November of that year, he was the one who guided the Raptors to victory over the Pacers.
Towards the end of the previous month, Toronto defeated Indiana once more when they traveled back to Indianapolis with Siakam as their opponent. Despite the fact that the former Raptors forward and two-time All-NBA selection had 27 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, his team was not able to achieve the level of performance that was required to win.
