Oscar Olea, 38, a gymnastics coach in Key Biscayne, which is located 16 miles south of Miami, was taken into custody on Wednesday, February 28, after allegations surfaced that he had sexually molested two of his former students in 2011. This information was reported by various sources. Although they were minors at the time, the two females were 14 and 16 years old.

In the beginning, Olea had a relationship with the girls that was similar to that of a brother and sister. However, as time went on, the relationship evolved into a sexual one, as stated by the youngest victim in the case to the Miami Herald.

Olea is being held without bond, reports say

The hearing that took place on Thursday, February 29 resulted in Olea being detained without bond. According to NBC 6 South Florida, Olea’s bond was initially set at $50,000, with $25,000 being set aside for each charge made against her.

Additionally, the local media outlet is saying that Miami-Dade Judge Mindy Glazer has issued an order that the evidence relating to the case be provided prior to the hearing that is scheduled to take place today.

The date of Olea’s arraignment is apparently scheduled for the 20th of March.
