Isaiah Thomas Signs With G League Team Amid NBA Comeback Attempt, per Report: A former NBA backcourt player who was considered to be the finest in the league is reportedly on the route to making a comeback performance.
A report that was released by Shams Charania of The Athletic on Tuesday afternoon stated that guard Isaiah Thomas, who has been selected for the All-Star team twice, has signed to terms with the Salt Lake City Stars of the G League. Thomas holds the distinction of being selected for the All-Star squad twice.
Thomas, who is now 35 years old, has not taken part in any NBA games since his 14-point performance for the Charlotte Hornets in their 124–108 victory against the Washington Wizards on April 10, 2022. Thomas’s performance occurred in the Hornets’ victory over the Wizards.
At the age of 22, Thomas was a member of three different teams, the third of which being the Hornets. In comparison to where he was after five years of playing for other teams, this represented a considerable decline in his performance.

- The 5’9″ Thomas momentarily became one of the finest players in the National Basketball Association while playing for the Boston Celtics in 2017.
- He finished fifth in the voting for Most Valuable Player and averaged 28.9 points per game. Particularly noteworthy was his performance in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Washington Wizards, in which he scored 53 points.
- The devastating hip injury that he sustained, however, brought an end to his season.
Thomas, a highly recognized college player at Washington, was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the draft and went on to achieve some kind of success with them. After being acquired by the Celtics through a series of deals, he was eventually traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for guard Kyrie Irving in the year 2017.
The Cavaliers traded Thomas to the Los Angeles Lakers before the deadline in 2018, after he had played 15 games that were not very impressive. Since then, Thomas has not participated in more than 40 games during an NBA season.
