The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office filed a charge against a lady who is 45 years old on Tuesday, accusing her of inflicting physical damage on a child by the act of injuring the child.

They discovered that a friend had given them a drink during physical education class at the Legacy Traditional School in Alamo Ranch, which is located in San Antonio. They were summoned to assist a sick child at the school.

In a sports drink bottle, the drink was described as a mixture of lemon, salt, and vinegar, according to the authorities. Following the consumption of it, the child had nausea and headaches.

Because we want to preserve the child’s privacy, we won’t name the lady.

Drink meant to deter bullies

Deputy sheriffs have stated that their inquiry has shown that the mother had manufactured the beverage on purpose with the objective of “allegedly preventing her son’s drink from being stolen at school by other students.”

She stated that she “only did it to stop the bullies at her son’s school,” as stated in a copy of the woman’s declaration that was obtained by a local news channel known as KSAT.

Deputies were informed by her son that the boy to whom he had given the mixture had taken his drink the day before and had tormented him because of it.

Despite the fact that the beverage appeared to be harmless, the child was still sent to the hospital, as stated by the sheriff’s office. Before he could be discharged from the hospital, the staff stated that he required more monitoring.

“There is never an excuse to take matters into your own hands and injure a child,” Sheriff Javier Salazar said in a statement to USA TODAY. “This is true regardless of whether the allegations of bullying that are at the root of this situation are substantiated or not.”
