On the edition of the talk programme that aired on Thursday, the co-host of “The View,” who is 68 years old, disclosed that one of her most recent romances was with a man who was forty years her senior.

The information was disclosed during a segment that was discussing the trailer for the romantic comedy “The Idea of You,” in which Anne Hathaway plays the role of a woman who is forty years old and has a connection with a singer who is in his twenties and is portrayed by Nicholas Galitzine. Regarding the criticism that was levelled against the age gap that was portrayed in the movie, Goldberg responded by stating that “it’s a movie” and addressing the critics, “If you don’t want to see the movie, don’t see the movie.”
Consequently, this sparked a conversation among the co-hosts regarding the importance of age differences in romantic partnerships, with Goldberg revealing that she had dated both older and younger men. “Your age is not what’s going to get me into your arms,” the woman stated. “It’s not your age that I’m concerned about unless you’re under 18.”
The co-host Joy Behar made the suggestion that a “big gap” in a relationship can be “problematic,” and that a 60-year-old dating an 80-year-old could be “a little hairy,” but Goldberg did not appear to concur with these statements.
“I’m just going to say this to you: one of the last relationships I had, he was 40 years older than me,” according to her.

She did not disclose any information concerning the connection, nor did she identify the time period during which she dated the older man. In 2022, Amara Skye, Goldberg’s granddaughter, shared with a fellow contestant on the reality show “Claim to Fame” that Goldberg “had a boyfriend that was, like, 90 years old, and she used to go hang out with him.” The comments seemed to be in line with what Amara Skye had said. Skye claims that the actress who went by the moniker “Sister Act” dated “some old white man named John, and he was like a billionaire,” and that she “used to sneak off and have (sex) appointments, randomly.”
In a later interview, Skye stated that “no one knew about that,” and she further stated that she was uncertain as to whether or not Goldberg would be happy with her releasing it. “But my grandma’s really, really cool and pretty open,” added the woman. “So, I don’t think I did so bad.”
Goldberg had previously stated in a segment that aired on “The View” in 2021 that she had quit dating younger guys after she had a date with someone who had never heard of The Beatles.
“You have to know that when you’re going younger, there’s a lot of information that you have to impart, and sometimes it’s tiring,” according to her.
